Tyler si è laureato presso il California Institute of the Arts nel 2013. I suoi lavori come artista di storyboard includono Gravity Falls, Ça buble! e Star vs the Forces of Evil a Disney XD e Clarence a Cartoon Network. È stato anche sceneggiatore di Gravity Falls e Star vs the Forces of Evil e regista di Star vs the Forces of Evil.
