It's really sad to see it go because of all the really bad stuff that CN has been doing with scheduling (and possibly even greenlighting) shows (come on Infinity Train) and it's currently to the point where the tables have turned for Nickelodeon and CN (where it's now CN who throws out terrible shows and Nickelodeon who puts out good or at least decent shows). R.I.P. Clarence 2014-2018?
The sad part is that, the ratings on Disney and Nick are doing far more superior than what CN does and it's suffering so bad as they forever replaying TTG to think like that's going to save anything but make it fall down the drain, even though we got a long way to go and it's about a year from now, with RS ended, and UG getting ready to end sometime this year and with this one alongside with AT and SU (it'll likely to end after season 5), pretty much the only ones left are WBB, TAWOG, *coughs* TTG, MM, and PPG 2016.
I actually don't know if it would even survive the 2010's or the 2020's if they keep doing this (but if it actually does die because of this well..... RIP). I mean all CN is doing is doing reboots (a Ben 10 one has already been made and is set to air in a few days and I heard rumors about Johnny Bravo coming back) and airing TTG and the CWACoM TV show. Like the only two good shows that are left TAWOG and WBB (with the former I heard will be ending after it's 6th season)

I didn't even notice that, but it (and the whole episode itself) honestly makes it quite dated with the infamous 2016 election (and yeah it did come out after we elected a potential dictator).
I don't think it was a flashback, I think hallucination would be more accurate? Also I have the feeling that we probably found out when Clarence is supposed to be set which (from what we can assume with some evidence) is the late 90s or something like that. Also I think both episodes were kind of boring (I didn't really watch the second one because I just went on my computer half way through) and I thought that the former one would become dated pretty fast and heck I actually thought that it would become dated when I first heard of it.
Just something for fun, but what song would you like to hear be pastiched or parodied by Simon Panrucker for the show? I think that a song that I'd like to hear be pastiched/parodied on the show is "If I Had No Loot" by Tony! Toni! Toné!, probably because it's one of my favorite songs from the 90s and I do think that this is something that Simon would parody or pastiche (IMO).
I didn't really care about them tbh (I mean I already saw Sumo Goes West and I was quite neutral on that one). Valentimes was kind of predictable (also were they parodying "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" at the end (I haven't seen The Lion King in a long time and I'm just asking)?).
This wasn't really sad (I saw it on VOD) and I wasn't expecting this, but at least something finally significant happened (I was waiting for this since the middle of S1 and S2)?

I wouldn't say that I disagree on his view of where its taking place to be honest i often look at it as it was never explained neither by Spencer or the crew period, but from the way I look at it by technological differences, as in season 1 episodes like for example, in Patients, a girl with a light shirt has a smartphone, which you don't get back in the 1990's nor 2000's (except for 2008-2009), Jeff, Belson, and Kimby has a HDTV (Kimby's is more modern than the former).
I mean everyone else has analog (I think Belson has a flatscreen as well, but he's a spoiled rich kid so he's probably ahead of everyone else? I don't know, but he also has a GameBoy or something, and by the time HDTV became popular (which was in the 2010s) analog was barely used anymore (unless you had a digital reciever) and Jeff's computer isn't a laptop or a flatscreen, it's one of those computers that you would see in the 90s.
Also I think that kid with the camera was using a camera that used film (which is strange because there's the possible "anachronism" with the smartphones, so if smartphones are seen why is this kid using a camera that shoots film (I know people can choose what type of camera they want to use, so maybe that's the cast)? Also on Kimby's notecard in Slumber Party, the guy on the card is Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC and when was he/they (minus Justin Timberlake) popular? The 90s/early 2000's (up to 2001-2002). Also Dustin's outfit from Detention (and I don't know what Percy's glasses are, but this episode is pretty much the "nostalgia episode" sort of) looks like a mix between Jam Master Jay (of Run-DMC) and Raphael Saadiq (of Tony! Toni! Toné!) and I might be wrong about the latter(?) although the glasses do look identical.
I know these are minor details, but it's just so confusing (even if these are anachronisms or not), we'll probably never know unless they confirm it.
It is true that everyone else has it technically outmoded (meaning out of date), Ms. Baker for example, has a phone that looked really outdated, something that is already extinct in the modern world, because due to the show having to be a bit similar to Regular Show (the show that ended a few weeks ago), which is known for making heavy references from the 1980's and some for 1990's, notably for the type of music as well as the video games that the two main characters played and due to the fact felt like it doesn't have a exact fact from what year it collides to.
True. Also Baker's phone looks more like a combination between a smartphone and a beeper for some reason. Like it's all confusing even more with the hints of 1998. Also Regular Show was more about retro stuff (from what I remember, and heck the composer for that show is the lead singer of Devo, which isn't a surprise since he has done music for films and cartoons including Rugrats, but in Regular Show it gives off a style akin to the music of the 1980's) but Clarence it's more about childhood and doesn't really focus on retro and nostalgia (other than references and objects in the background). Also in Plane Excited, the cockpit doors were unlocked (making the last fourth impossible by today's standards) and they're obviously locked now because of... a certain event.

Or either the pic that she holding, might have been taken years ago before Clarence and the others were there, tbh it's hard to describe it due to the show having to be has at keeping track of time or continuity.
That's true, but it sounds like it was more recent (as if they recently broke up or something) and considering the fact that Mariano and Sumo were there. It's questionable I know and there is this thing from The Break Up, so maybe it is 1998 (or 1999), but who knows?

(UPDATE) I just watch it and the episode was mixed, the only part that i didn't like was when Jeff told everyone that Mariano didn't realistically save them from something and it made Jeff feel more of a buzzkill.
Yeah. However, Jeff wasn't even there until the end. It was dumb that Mariano was playing as Jeff the whole time.
I see why you described the episode as weird and crazy.
Yes. It's was really odd for a old man to disguise himself as a 10 year old kid.
And the fact that Mariano's disguise was just a Jeff head and the Mariano in the audience was apparently a balloon. (I know it's a cartoon, but it's so confusing)

Even though I don't speak Spanish, I honestly agree with you right there!

Sometimes, I wonder why the Clarence comics are better then the show.
The episodes of this season are getting lame as I hate to say. Mostly the ones with Clarence's stupidity.
AFAIK, for some of its recent episodes and its ratings have been falling flat, I think over the summertime when the show went on hiatus, it either made some, move away from the show despite of the show's dying fandom, since all this year, the fandom hadn't seen that increase yet, but all it is it's decreasing very dramatically as each episodes lack any memorable moments as well as anything that made the show more appealing, as for the comics, they had nothing much to do with show's canonicity, I mean there fine at the point, but has no root details to show's continuity, rather than what could've been at the point, the only episodes that I find that are inspiring is mostly Sumo related episodes or others like Chelsea, Breehn, etc also, I cannot say for Jeff related ones since it's questionable, most Clarence related is pretty much becoming a tired product that needed more to work on, otherwise it's mostly a bit of caprice.
